Indiana University is proud to announce that both Forward Chris Benz and Head Coach Tom Orr have been selected to represent the ACHA all stars at the competition in Adrian, Michigan. Benz and Orr are the first ever hoosiers to be selected for the team. Chris Benz has been a dynamic, exciting forward who has thrilled fans all year with his goal scoring and big hits. With 55 teams at the ACHA D1 level, and teams like Lindenwood sending three players, it is not common for players to be selected for the two twenty man rosters unless they are truly excellent hockey players. Benz a junior, is already hoping to bring back his skills to the Frank next year, and perhaps bring a few linemates along!

Coach Orr was also chosen to be among six coaches to represent the ACHA. Coach Orr was very happy to be selected and feels as though this is a great thing for the program. "I did not know what kind of success we would have this first year, as it was a risk for us all. It is very encouraging to see the ACHA recognize the great season we had as a first year team." Coach Orr pointed out that his team was finishing in the top 25 and had many highlights he hopes to build on these in the future. I think we ran great systems and had wonderful team chemistry. We lose some of my key seniors, but this is a great watermark for where we are now, and where we can be as we continue to plug in more talent and let the program thrive.
